On Friday night, the convention began with a toga party. It was not a
requirement that people wear togas, however, so many people wore other sorts
of costumes. At left, I ran into someone (Stacey, from Simply His
Servants) who was amused that I was wearing the same costume accessories
(Chippendales-style bowtie and cuffs) that she was. Of course, the rest
of our costumes were different -- I was wearing one of my Rocky Horror South Park Show t-shirts, so
that people who'd only met me on-line could have an easier time identifying
me. This spared people from having to endure the spectacle you see on the
right. Note that the picture on the right, taken a week or two before the
convention, shows my hair before I got it cut Columbia-short. Ah, the things I
do for my performance...
Some togas! From left to right: Cristin Weber, Glenn Marker, and Karen
Savage (whose "Little Black Toga" was one of the toga contest winners); another
winner ("Little Caesar"); and the Timmermans, Sherri and Lori.
More interesting people that I can't identify (some of whose names have since
been provided to me)... From left to right: I think she said her name was
Heather when I wrote out her certificate (she won "Sexiest Toga"), NYC's Theresa
as the bee girl from Blind Melon's album and "No Rain" video, a Roman
ex-delivery boy named Eddius, and a classical Roman couple (Mr. and Mrs. Guy
Worthy).
Another group of Roman revellers; I'm don't know who the Rockius is, but the
hippius in the middle is Julie Barman and the rainbow-bedecked citizen is James
Stillian (both of the Bawdy Cast). Between Julie and Rockius is
David, one of their most loyal audience members...
Adrian/Zola and Jessica "KittenDTV" Feldman, in a photo I'd sure she'd just as
soon not see on the net; and a picture of Jessica with Karen where Jessica looks
just fine... Note that Jessica is holding one of the Zen
Room badges that Adrian made, to help people from the chat room identify
each other. At right is another picture of me from Friday night
as SuperFreak (the kind you don't bring home to mother)... Sal's not the
only one who gets to wear a cape to Rocky Horror conventions anymore...

And what evening would be complete without the Spice Girls? Umm, that's
a rhetorical question (just kidding)... Although the evening actually ended
with a full floorshow of "Shock Treatment" -- here's a few pictures (you may
notice I didn't stay for the whole show):
Just to blow my own horn some more -- note that Oliver Wright (Julie) and many
of the characters were wearing DTV IDs made from my template...
